Agent of change
Important words to keep in mind:
"Is there something in your life that you want changed;
Because that something in your life is causing you so much pain?
Is there something in your life that’s a constant strain,
And you want relief today, you will take it in any way?"
"Have you prayed about it? Have you really prayed?
Have you groaned in your spirit? Have you earnestly prayed?"
"Then get up off your knees; go out on your way.
If you prayed, if you earnestly prayed.
And watch the Lord take your ‘something’;
and by His power change it."
"But the change may not come today.
No, the change may not be in your way.
But the change will come someday…
…even if the change is in you."
"The Change Will Come"; performed by the Wilmington Chester Mass Choir
These words have blessed and empowered me time and time again. I hope they bless you as much.

But the change will come someday...even if the change is in you.
so true, many times the change is within ourselves.

Very good song!
I have totally been slacking on reading your blog lately, I have some serious catching up to do!!!
Good choice of inspirational words. I've always loved this song also (the lady who led this song at our church TORE IT UP! You better sing that song, girl! LOL!) It's probably one of the most relevant songs out there that explains the true nature of how God works in our lives. Thanks for this uplift today.
Hey Dre,
Great inspirational words. Thanks for a motivational moment on the morning of my first day back to work.
@ Jos: Me too. This was always one of my favorites. Not only does it have a great sound, but it's one of the most profound songs I've ever heard.
@ Greeny: "These words are like a warm hug, thank you for sharing them..."
My pleasure, my love. Thanks for receiving them.
What have you been up to lately?! :)
@ Heiress: "so true, many times the change is within ourselves."
Amen. I've always believed that we are empowered to change SOME things. But those that we can't change or that God won't change; at least we can count on God to change our hearts and our responses to those things.
On a side note: I don't know how, but I've been to this guy's site before, though I'm not a frequent there. But thanks for the link. The YouTube clip was hilarious!
@ Mari: No worries! I'm just glad you had a chance to stop by. But I'm not expecting you to devote your life to my blog, Dr. Mari. Hell, I don't even spend that much time on my blog anymore...
@ Cyn: It must be somethin' about that song that makes people tear it up. The lady who used to do our version this song ripped it to pieces. She was untouchable when she sang it. She was baaaad!
@ HC: Dude, I was wondering where you were. Welcome back to more fun and exciting adventures from the U.
oh yeah andre, that's what i meant, change within our own hearts from God to accept things, not to necessarily change things. sorry i didn't make it clearer.
@ Heiress: I wasn't correcting you; I was agreeing with you. :)
oh, thanks, well i liked your wording better. it made it clearer.
