Shameless plug
For all y'all spoken word fans out there, I've got a treat for you. Here are a couple of joints from my homeboy Edwin Wilson (aka the Future). This dude is crazy sick on the microphone. Check him out:
I'm not good at promos but if you like what you see, he's got more stuff (even better, in my opinion) to check out on his page or his Myspace spot. Check him out some time!

Very nice. I can't say anymore because I'm married. :)
*JOKE*
Great work! I absolutely LOVE Spoken Word. He's so talented!
Not bad, although I'd suggest he lose the Transformers T. ;)
The movie "" broke me into the spoken-word scene almost 10 years ago, & I thought that the art was one of the things that just may save hip-hop from itself.
Unfortunately, I was wrong.
But, since we seem to be on the same page when it comes to the current state of hip-hop, check out Saul Williams' (THE God of spoken-word) foray into the genre here & here. Also, his collaborations w/ Trent Reznor under the moniker "Niggy Tardust" is off the hook. Check it out. :)

Bah. Evidently, in my previous reply I failed to close the tag to the link of the movie "Slam". Apologies all around for the massive amount of text o' blue. ;)

Wassup Nic? I'm with you on Saul Williams. That dude kills me every time I have a chance to see him. He was at UM-F not too long ago. He was crazy with it!
