Happy "Crazy Drunk White People" Day!
So, am I the only one who thinks that St. Patrick's day is a ridiculous holiday?
Well, I guess it's not so stupid if you like:
- Going to pubs to to get drunk off near-fatal consumption of alcohol.
- Pinching girls (for not wearing green), and not getting charged with sexual harrassment
- Throwing up green vomit to match your clothes
- Watching a bunch of drunk white people do crazy stuff.
I guess that, considering that last point, St. Patrick's day isn't so stupid after all...

I agree totally, Andre, and I AM white, LOL. However, I don't drink alcohol of any type, and most especially green beer. ??????
Where do the idjits come from at times like this? I might POSSIBLY understand if most of them were even a teeny bit Irish, but most are just morons looking for a reason to get blind, puking drunk with lots of OTHER morons.
Somebody help me out, here......I honestly don't get it........??
What does celebrating a day in memory of a Catholic saint who supposedly single-handedly rid Ireland of all snakes, have to do with wearing SCREAMING green and getting lethally snookered?

Hmmm, wearing green, getting drunk and doing stupid things. I don't get it either, but then again I'm more of a Michigan fan too. Maybe we should ask someone from State. Just kidding State fans.
I don't know what you're talking about Andre! Any day where we can get an excused absence from being sober and polite, I'm all for it.
Especially if I get to see a bunch of drunk white people...

@ steph: I'm sorry to say, but I don't drink. Now, there was that ONE time when I had one apple juice too many. All hell broke loose.
@ Diane: I think you're growing to become my favorite blogger. I think it's almost scary how we think alike. I've been asking the same "What does getting stone drunk have to do with celebrating a patron" type questions.
I also wonder about Christmas, Easter Halloween, and Thanksgiving, but I digress...
@ HC, Indeed. Michigan St. sucks. But we can't forget about Notre Dame and Ohio State! Yeah, I said it!
@ t-rex: LOL! I can't say that I had the opportunity to see any intoxicated folks (I went straight home after work like the lame ass that I am), but my sister in Miami had some crazy stories for me.
Stories of drunkenness are definitely the only redeeming quality for days like St. Paddy's day.
